The Distress for Rent Act Chapter 293 Laws of Kenya gives the Landlord power to authorize his/her licensed Auctioneer to seize the assets of the tenant to recover owed rent arrears.
This is non-judicial remedy available to landlords. The landlord only needs to authorize Upstate Kenya Auctioneers in writing for us to commence the recovery process.
